President & Chief Executive Officer
Alan is uniquely positioned to advance hydrogen energy in a decarbonizing environment. Alan led Trident Exploration Corp., Canada’s largest Coal Bed Methane producer, as President and Chief Executive Officer from 2014 to 2019. Before that, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Trident from 2008 to 2014.
In addition to serving in major energy producers, Pioneer Natural Resources Corp and Devon Energy Corp., Alan also served in senior executive finance roles within public and private energy producers, and land management organizations. In addition, he provided executive financial services within Canada’s healthcare sector. A co-founder of New Canadian Energy Ltd., Alan is keenly aware that sustainability includes economic viability.
Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Chris is well versed in the energy distribution space with strategic insight into hydrogen production and its role in the clean energy transition. With a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Calgary, Chris has extensive pipeline experience in upstream and midstream projects. His key activities have included pipeline design and construction support, and the development of pipeline change of service scope.
Holding several management positions in energy companies, Chris also co-founded Plex Projects, a leader in pipeline change-of-service projects. He also held the Western Canadian Network Lead position for the Transition Accelerator, overseeing the development of hydrogen hubs throughout Western Canada. Chris has a deep understanding of the role hydrogen energy plays in sustainable clean energy systems.
